The OB1 Black HeatProtect Fire Cement is a high-temperature sealant designed for use in environments exposed to extreme heat, with a resistance of up to 1200°C. It is ideal for sealing stoves, flues, fireplaces, ovens, and chimneys.

It is applied as a paste and, once heated, will cure to form a reliable seal if the temperature is gradually increased. Slightly moisten very porous surfaces before application to enhance adhesion; OB1 Multi Surface Cleaner can aid in smoothing joints prior to curing. Uncured material can be cleaned easily, while cured material requires mechanical removal. This sealant should not be used on soft plastics, bituminous substrates, or areas subject to continuous water exposure. The shelf life is up to 9 months when stored unopened between +5°C and +25°C.
