Constructed from a lightweight aluminium alloy, it weighs only 0.34lbs (157.6g) while supporting a maximum weight limit of 140kg (308lbs) and a breaking strength of 4kN.
Its powerful and durable design features a solid toothed cam made from stainless steel, along with a self-cleaning slot that optimises performance, even in adverse conditions such as frozen or dirty ropes. The magnesium alloy forging offers enhanced resistance to corrosion, and the wear plate improves durability. The ascender also includes multiple holes for attaching carabiners or webbings, enhancing its versatility.
Operational ease is a key feature, as it allows usage with either a BASIC ascender or an ASCENSION handled ascender for smooth rope ascents.
