Preventing algae is essential, as recovering an infested pool can be time-consuming and costly. Blue Horizons offers a selection of algaecides, including both weekly and long-life options to suit your needs. This particular long-life algaecide is effective against most algae types and is compatible with chlorine, bromine, and biguanide-treated pools.
To use, ensure pool water is free from debris. Shock dose the pool with Blue Horizons Granular or Rapid Shock to reach a chlorine level of 10 ppm. Gradually pour the algaecide into the pool with the pump on, preferably near water inlets for better distribution. Check pH levels and adjust if necessary to maintain a winter range of 7.6 – 7.8.
