This MAP sensor is specifically designed for Land Rover Discovery Mk II 2.5 Td5 4×4 models from 1998 to 2004 and Dodge Caravan III MPV 2.5 TD models from 1995 to 2001. The sensor computes air density and determines the engine’s air mass flow rate, supplying critical manifold pressure information to the engine’s electronic control unit.

Installation Instructions

Please follow these steps for installation:

  • Remove the old sensor and install the new one in the engine bay (passenger side).
  • Connect to the BOV source, route wires through the firewall, and link to MAP power while noting the signal.
  • Plug into ports as per the manual; the ECU is located under the passenger side carpet.
  • Bypass: Splice new power/ground to the factory; insulate the old signal and connect the new to UTEC.
  • Calibrate in UTEC (Edit Maps > Params > Special); use the manual’s voltage/pressure to input intercept/gradient.
