Product Details
The Snareweight M1b is the latest addition to the Snareweight family, designed for drummers seeking versatile dampening solutions. Made in the USA from genuine leather, this dampener is engineered to control drum resonance while maintaining its brightness. It features a patented clip that provides a permanent grip to various types of metal hoops including triple flange, die-cast, angel, true, and brass hoops, but is not compatible with S-hoops or Tama Arc hoops.
This product offers four different dampening settings: very light, light, medium, and off, allowing you to customize your sound easily. The M1b is also slightly heavier than common alternatives like tape or plastic, aiding in the reduction of lower frequency hum. Additionally, its magnetic on/off feature allows for quick adjustments, so dampening can be modified swiftly without sticking to the drum head.
Dimensions of the dampener are approximately 3.98 x 0.39 x 2.52 inches, and the leather thickness varies between 1.5mm and 2mm. This makes it suitable for use on both snare drums and toms, except for floor toms, which should use the M80 model.
