Ampersand Primed Smooth Artist Panel 8×10 Inches 7/8 Inch Depth

Product Details

The Ampersand Primed Smooth Artist Panel is a top-quality, ready-to-paint surface meticulously crafted for oil, acrylic, pouring, and mixed media applications. This panel features an ultra-smooth acrylic gesso surface that requires no sealing or preparation, providing artists with a flawless ground for techniques that include crisp brushwork, ultra-fine detail, and plein air painting. The rigid nature of the panel allows for bright, vivid colours due to its light-reflective properties, unlike absorbent surfaces such as canvas or paper.

The smooth, uniform construction is compatible with a variety of media including acrylics, oils, gouache, casein, alcohol inks, airbrush, collage, and image transfers. Whether you’re painting portraits, landscapes, or exploring mixed media, this panel supports a diverse range of artistic techniques with ease. Artists appreciate the seamless paint application across the surface, making it an excellent choice for both traditional painting methods and acrylic pouring.

Designed with a durable, warp-resistant MDF core, the Ampersand panel remains stable under heavy applications of paint and mixed media. This makes it an ideal alternative to traditional stretched canvas, canvas boards, and unprimed wood panels. The panel is available in sizes from 4×4 inches to 18×24 inches, with various profiles, including 1/8 inch flat, 3/8 inch flat, 7/8 inch cradled, and 1½ inch cradled. The 3/8 inch flat panel also includes a built-in keyhole hanger for easy mounting. With fully primed edges for wrapping artwork neatly around the sides, the Ampersand Primed Smooth Artist Panel provides reliable performance for artists, educators, and hobbyists alike.
