Product Details
The Penguin Pottery School Pack consists of five portable clay wedging boards, each measuring 12 x 18 inches. These boards are designed to provide students with a clean, organised workspace, making them ideal for both pottery and various art projects. By using these boards in classrooms, they help maintain a tidy environment that encourages creativity.
The original wedging board design was created by Penguin Pottery in 2020, and they are made in the USA from Medex MDF, a high-quality material used widely in the ceramics industry. Unlike other brands that may use less durable materials like Masonite or fibreboard, these boards ensure long-lasting performance.
Each board features a built-in handle for easy transportation and has rounded edges for a comfortable grip. This design improves user experience by facilitating movement without hassle. The boards do not have a canvas covering, addressing the common issue of dry clay dust accumulation found in canvas-covered boards.
Durability is a key feature, as the boards are constructed from 3/8″ Medex MDF, which provides the perfect balance of strength without adding excessive weight. They effectively prevent clay from sticking, outperforming traditional pottery plaster, clay mats, and polymer variants. Users can place other pottery tools, such as clay texture sheets and slab rollers, on top without concern.
Penguin Pottery is committed to supporting future ceramics education, contributing 1% of sales to underserved public schools. Additionally, the brand supports artists through the Craft Emergency Relief Fund (CERF+).
All Penguin Pottery products come with a Lifetime Warranty, assuring customers that if they have any issues, they will receive a refund or replacement with no questions asked.
