The Comet Torque Converter Kit is designed for easy installation as a direct replacement for all models of Comet TAV2 Torq-A-Verters, including part numbers 218353A, 219552A, 219456A, 217610A, and 203814A. This kit allows vehicles currently equipped with a centrifugal clutch to upgrade to a more efficient TC2 torque converter, reducing costs due to burnt-out clutches. Suitable for a variety of small vehicles such as go karts, mini bikes, ATVs, and riding lawnmowers, this converter enhances take-off power and provides smoother acceleration and improved top speeds.

Product Details

This kit bolts onto most engines featuring a horizontal shaft, including popular brands such as Briggs, Clinton, Honda and clones, Kohler, Lifan, Robin, and Tecumseh motors. The driver clutch has a bore size of 1″ (24.5mm), while the driven unit has an overall diameter of 6″ with a 5/8″ driven pulley. The complete kit comes with both drive and driven clutch pulleys, a belt, an aluminium engine mount plate, a built-in jackshaft with sprocket, all necessary mounting hardware, and detailed instructions for installation.
