The M80 is engineered to fit all snare drum sizes from 8″ to 14″ and retains weight on the drum head, effectively shortening low frequency decay without losing tonal clarity. It is compatible with various hoop types, including triple flange, die cast, angle hoops, true hoops, brass hoops, and 1/4″ wood hoops, but is not recommended for S-hoops or Tama Arc Hoops. Constructed from high-quality leather with a thickness ranging from 1.5mm to 2mm, this dampener’s patented clip ensures a secure grip on all compatible metal hoops. To operate, simply dampen or disengage quickly with the straightforward on/off feature, making transitions smooth and efficient.
