The Stormguard Gold Door Brush Strip Draught Excluder is designed to efficiently seal gaps up to 25mm beneath doors, preventing drafts and improving energy efficiency. It measures 914mm in length and can be cut to fit your specific door width. Installation is straightforward with pre-drilled fixing holes and included fixings.

Installation Instructions

To install, follow these steps:

  • With the door closed, measure the width of the bottom of the door.
  • Remove the brush from the carrier/housing and cut it to the necessary size using a hacksaw. Ensure you cut the small metal rod (3mm wide) that holds the brush in place.
  • Crimp the metal housing with pliers to secure the brushes and prevent them from falling out.
  • Position the door seal against the door, ensuring the bottom of the brush is just above the floor to close the gap effectively. Mark the drilling points with a pencil.
  • Drill pilot holes for the screws to avoid damaging the screw heads during installation.
  • Firmly screw the draught excluder to the base of the door and adjust as necessary using the slotted holes for an optimal fit.
