Key Features

  • Effective removal of nitrogenous organic waste, controlling ammonia, nitrites, and nitrates.
  • Changes colour progressively as it exhausts, simplifying the regeneration process.
  • Easy to regenerate using a household bleach solution; restores original colour and activity.

Regeneration Instructions

To regenerate Purigen, follow these steps:

  • Soak in a 1:1 bleach:water solution for 24 hours in a non-metallic container, in a well-ventilated area.
  • Use regular unscented household bleach (8.25% hypochlorite); do not use splashless bleach.
  • After soaking, rinse thoroughly, and then soak for 8 hours in a solution containing 4 tablespoons of dechlorinator per cup of water, or for freshwater applications, soak for 4 hours using 2 tablespoons of buffer per cup of water.
