Leucothoe Curly Gold Hardy Evergreen Shrub in 17 cm Pot

Leucothoe axillaris, commonly known as Leucothoe Curly Gold, is an attractive evergreen shrub that enhances shaded garden areas with its unique foliage and elegant form. The leaves transition from glossy green in spring to striking shades of red, purple, and bronze as temperatures cool, providing year-round visual interest. This shrub is particularly suited for damp, shady locations and flourishes in well-drained, acidic soils typical of woodland settings. The growth habit is compact, reaching up to 1 metre in height, making it an excellent choice for mixed borders and understory layers. Thriving in moist environments, it can be planted near water features or under the canopy of larger trees where it can absorb ample moisture. Please note that when purchasing live plants, individual items may vary from the images shown, which are for illustrative purposes. The Leucothoe will be supplied in a grower’s pot, and depending on the season, some plants may be pruned back to promote growth. Deciduous plants may arrive without leaves during certain times of the year.
