Product Details
The AF Calcium Special Turtle block is a vital mineral source for captive aquatic turtles, contributing to the maintenance of their shell and bone structure without the need for daily intervention. Upon exposure to water, the block bubbles, helping to neutralise acidity and improve the habitat’s conditions for both land and aquatic turtles. Its gradual dissolution ensures that calcium becomes available throughout the day, making it particularly beneficial for young turtles and species like the Hermann turtle that spend time in wetlands.
Unlike traditional cuttlefish bone, this block has been specifically formulated to dissolve in water, releasing calcium efficiently into the aquatic environment. For land turtles, it can also be placed in a wet terrarium as an additional mineral source.
