Product Details
The Birdgo Black OPVC Solar Mesh & Clip Kit is specifically designed to prevent pigeons and similarly sized birds from accessing the underside of solar panels. This comprehensive kit includes:
- 1 x Black PVC Solar Mesh Galvanised, 30m width and 0.2m height
- 3 packs of 10 solar clips for securing the mesh without drilling
- 100 cable ties and wire rope cutters
The mesh features a hole size of 12.5mm x 12.5mm and is effective against smaller birds like starlings and sparrows as well. The installation should be carried out with careful planning; a risk assessment is recommended before starting.
Installation Instructions
To install the mesh, space the solar clips at 450mm intervals and secure the mesh to the panel’s support flange bracket. It is crucial to set the mesh correctly, ensuring that excess material is trimmed away and that all overlaps (recommended 75mm) are secured with the included cable ties. Any nesting materials should also be cleared from underneath the solar panels before installation to encourage the relocation of birds.
This installation kit comes complete with all necessary components for an average setup, but additional mesh and clips are available if required. Established in 2002, the manufacturer is a UK-based expert in bird control, offering humane solutions to pest problems without harm to birds.
