The KFI Products ATV-SCHS Winch Cable Hook Stopper is a black splitter designed for ATV and UTV winches. It measures 2 5/8 inches wide and 1 3/4 inches thick, weighing just 4 oz. This effective Stopper fits between the two outside rollers on a winch fairlead and also works with synthetic rope and slot fairleads.

Installation Instructions

To install the Split Cable Hook Stopper:

  • Wear leather gloves for safety.
  • Free spool the winch and extend approximately 2 feet of cable.
  • Remove the hairpin and clevis pin from the winch hook.
  • Unscrew the four bolts securing the two halves of the Hook Stopper together and place the cable or rope in between.
  • Reinsert the bolts and tighten.
  • Reattach the hook to the cable.
  • To store the hook, engage the clutch and retract the cable until the hook is snug against the Stopper and fairlead.
  • Position the hook stopper approximately three-quarters of the total line distance from the hook for optimal performance.
