Product Details

The Exo Terra Coco Husk is a 100% natural, biodegradable terrarium bedding crafted from sustainable coconut husk fibre sourced from plantations in tropical Asia. This ecological substrate has unique hygroscopic properties that naturally regulate humidity within the terrarium, making it safe for frogs, salamanders, and other burrowing or digging animals. Proper humidity levels aid shedding and help prevent respiratory infections. Exo Terra® Coco Husk is thoroughly washed and heat-treated to eliminate bacterial contamination, ensuring a clean and safe environment for your pets. Its excellent water retention capacity enhances soil drainage and aeration, encouraging the growth of healthy waste-reducing organisms, thus maintaining a fresh terrarium. This substrate is non-toxic, free from chemicals and pesticides, and can be composted.
