Installation and Compatibility
This adapter is designed to be mounted in an X4/X8/X16 motherboard slot. To install an M.2 SATA SSD, connect the adapter’s SATA port to the motherboard’s SATA port using the included SATA III cable. For optimal performance, ensure that the motherboard supports SATA III to achieve speeds of 6Gbps.
The M.2 PCIe SSD mounts in the lower slot, operating at full PCIe X4 speed, similar to being directly attached to the motherboard. It supports both PCIe 4.0 and PCIe 3.0 M.2 SSDs, accommodating SSDs without any capacity restrictions, including high-capacity 2TB and 4TB models.
