Canon RF50mm F1.8 STM Prime Lens for RF Mount Cameras

The Canon RF50mm F1.8 STM lens is designed specifically for the Canon EOS R mirrorless system, offering a classic 50mm focal length that caters to various photography styles, including portraits, travel, and street photography. The lens features a bright f/1.8 maximum aperture, which allows for superior performance in low-light conditions and enhances background blur for attractive subject separation. With its advanced optical design, including PMo aspherical elements and specialised coatings, the RF50mm F1.8 STM effectively minimises aberrations, ghosting, and flare while maintaining accurate colour balance. This makes it a reliable choice for capturing vivid and sharp images. Despite its optical prowess, the lens remains lightweight and portable, weighing only 158.76 g and measuring 4.04 x 6.91 x 6.91 cm, making it easy to carry on your adventures. The gear-type STM (stepping motor) provides smooth and quiet autofocus, which is particularly advantageous for video recording. Additionally, the lens includes a customizable control ring, allowing photographers to quickly adjust essential settings such as aperture, shutter speed, ISO, and exposure compensation on the fly. This lens is compatible with various Canon EOS R models, including the EOS RP, EOS R, EOS R5, EOS R6, and other RF mount cameras. It is perfect for photographers looking for a compact, high-quality lens to enhance their Canon camera experience.
