The high absorption capacity comes from the millions of tiny pores in the silica, maintaining a dry appearance even when saturated. These packets can effectively protect a range of items, including 3D filaments, guns, jewellery, documents, electronics, perfumes, clothing, and much more.
To ensure maximum usefulness, it is recommended to place more packets than suggested for added protection. Each packet measures 3 inches by 4 inches and is stored in a resealable self-standing bag for easy access. The special fabric used is made using Spunbond Technology, designed for superior moisture control.
For reactivation, the packets can be placed in an oven at temperatures ranging from 200°F to 250°F for 30 to 120 minutes, or in a microwave on defrost for 7 to 12 minutes. Care should be taken not to exceed 250°F in the oven, and it is advisable to monitor them closely to avoid overheating.
