The filter material comprises activated carbon and a hollow thread membrane (polysulfone), which work together to purify water effectively. When used at a rate of 2.3 gallons (10 L) per day, each cartridge can filter up to 132.3 gallons (600 L) over approximately two months. At a higher usage rate of 3.9 gallons (15 L) per day, the estimated replacement time is reduced to one month.
This cartridge set is certified to meet JIS standards for the purification of seven contaminants, including free residual chlorine, turbidity, total trihalomethane, 2-MIB (mould odour), and pesticides such as Tetrachloroethylene and Trichloroethylene.
