The starter package includes everything necessary for immediate use: a Shadowfire 365 Tenkara rod, rod cloth, rod tube, three soft flies, a 12.5-foot furled line from Moonlit Fly Fishing, a foam line holder, and a 27-yard spool of tippet.
Features & Specifications
- Length: 12 feet (365 cm) and weighs only 2.8 oz.
- Construction: Made from IM 10 graphite for durability.
- Action: 6:4 action with 8 segments; folds down to 23.3 inches for easy portability.
The rod is suitable for fishing in waters where fish are generally under 18 inches, although it can handle larger fish. Its soft casting action enhances accuracy and ease of use. The handle design is optimised for comfort, reducing hand fatigue during extended use.
The matte black finish prevents sun reflection, keeping your presence hidden from fish, while its attractive design adds aesthetic value. Although it is not primarily a ‘big fish’ rod, it has successfully landed larger catches with adequate space to manoeuvre.
