The GLOTRENDS PA09-HS adapter provides a seamless way to install an M.2 NVMe SSD by converting your motherboard’s PCIe X4/X8/X16 slot into an M.2 Key M slot. Please note that PCIe X1 and PCI slots are not supported. This adapter includes heatsinks which effectively cool M.2 SSDs by 5 – 20°C, promoting longer usage and reliability.
Compatibility and Specifications
This adapter works with PCIe 4.0 and 3.0 M.2 NVMe SSDs. To achieve full PCIe 4.0 X4 speeds, ensure that your CPU, slots, and SSD are all compatible. Intel CPUs below the 11th gen do not support PCIe 4.0. There is no capacity limit for M.2 NVMe SSDs, accommodating drives up to 4TB. It supports M.2 sizes of 2230, 2242, 2260, and 2280.
Operating System Support
Compatible with Windows 11/10/8, Linux, and macOS. It supports OS booting from an NVMe SSD, except on some older motherboards, where it can still function as storage. Windows 7 users will need to download the NVMe driver from Microsoft or the SSD manufacturer’s site.
